Savage Stone Age

The children have been learning about all things stone age!

In literacy they have been studying adventure stories, focussing on the 5 parts. They created their own version of 'stone aged boy' in the form of an adventure story.
In maths the children were consolidating their addition and subtraction skills by playing Stone aged top trumps with a twist! They have also become experts at describing shapes and calculating perimeters.

In DT the children studied cave paintings and their meanings. They paper mache-d their own caves ready to use as a background in their films for the St Botolph's Film Awards. Very messy!

In PE the children have been learning about stretched, curved and arched shapes and Miss Dawson's class even made stone henge with their bodies! Outdoor PE has been rounders which the children have really got to grips with. Our tournament will follow shortly.

In RE the children have been learning about and comparing the story of both Christian and Hindu creation.
