We have had a great day in Year Four creating WW2 Anderson Shelters.
First we had to test lots of different materials to see if they were strong enough to build a shelter, then we designed our shelter and garden.
In the afternoon we had lots of fun creating our masterpieces, trying to still to our design plan but also making improvements along the way.
We also realised that although it was a DT day, our teachers had snuck in lots of other important skills, such as measuring and scaling, 3D shapes, teamwork, communication, as well as the history and importance of Anderson shelters.
Check back soon to see our finished designs!!
