This term we have learnt lots about different festivals and celelbrations.
We started with Divali, Sunita came in to visit. We dressed up and did some Indian dancing. In the afternoon we tasted some Indian food, its was yummy!
Then the children learnt about Bon Fire night and Remembrance. Each child made a poppy and thought about what we are thankful for.
After that we learnt about the fesitval Hannukah. We all made a Menorah and learnt about why light is important in this Jewish festival.
In the final weeks we looked at the Nativity story and why it is important for Christians at Christmas. All the children made a card and decorations.
We ended the term with a party, enjoyed some games and a special visitor came to see us!
On top of all this learning we have continued to practise writing and reading our sounds. We are getting better at putting our sounds together to make words and hearning what sounds are in words. Throught the term we have also been counting and recognising numbers, shapes and different coins. Finally we are trying our best to work together, take turns and share with our friends.
We are all very impressed with how well the children are coming along and have settled into our routines. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year!
