History subject leader - Mrs Valentine
Governor – Mr I Freeman

At St Botolph's, we love learning about the past and the teachers deliver this in exciting ways, bringing history to life.

In History learning, we encourage children to investigate the past in order to understand key events and the impact they have had as well as to compare how people have lived in the past with the modern day. The children get many opportunities to handle a wide variety of artefacts and to work from primary and secondary sources. To enhance and enrich their learning, the pupils have the opportunity to go on visits and where this is not possible, we often arrange for specialist visitors to come in to school to work with the children.

We are currently updating our History curriculum and will soon be able to share our new topics with you.

Keep checking back to see what your children are up to this year!
