Homework will be handed out on Fridays and should be completed and returned by the following Thursday. Homework will consist of Arithmetic and SPAG/Reading activities. In addition to formal homework, we ask that you continue to listen to your child read on a regular basis and that you discuss what they have read with them. This will help enormously when they come to quizzing at school. Spellings can be found in your child's home school diary. Your child should work through the spellings at their own pace. There will be time for them to consolidate their learning at school.
Outdoor PE will take place on Monday afternoons and Indoor PE will take place on Thursday afternoons. Please ensure that your child has the correct PE kit in school for this.
The theme for this term is 'I'm a year 6! Get Me Outta Here!'
This term, we will be focusing on preparing our children for the transition into secondary schools.
Our English lessons will be based around the 'There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom' book and the Bear Grylls adventures.
Our Maths lessons will be based around projects getting the children to apply the mathematical skills learnt over the past terms.
Please have a look at the links below to keep up to date with what we are and have been doing.
